The Problem

Smart home apps are often cluttered, overly technical, or uninspired in their design. I wanted to challenge that by creating a system that feels premium, calm, and effortless to use—especially for users managing multiple rooms and devices.

My Approach

I used a neutral, earthy palette to reflect the calm and comfort of home, paired with rounded UI elements and soft shadows. The typography is clean, with hierarchy guided by spacing and weight rather than clutter.​

The app icon and splash screen were kept minimal to maintain a strong brand identity and warm first impression.

Key Features:

Room-Based Navigation – Switch between spaces like Bedroom, Living Room, or Kitchen with clear visual cues and subtle interactions.

• Temperature Control – Adjust room temperatures with responsive sliders and visual feedback.

• Smart Lighting – Easily toggle lights with icons that reflect real-time status.

• MediaHub – Control speakers, TVs, and music in one integrated section.

Outcome

ComfortHUB reflects how intuitive smart living can be when design meets function. The design is concept-ready for both iOS and Android platforms, and could be expanded with automation, voice assistant support, and more advanced personalisation in future iterations.
