Smart-home dashboards often overwhelm users with dense controls and technical data. The challenge was to simplify lighting management while still giving users meaningful insights into usage, quality, and performance.

Approach:

The interface uses a soft, neutral colour palette and real-world imagery to create a sense of familiarity and comfort. Key metrics such as light quality, usage, and brightness are surfaced through clear cards and progressive controls, allowing users to make quick adjustments without friction. Navigation was designed to support both quick actions and deeper exploration.

Outcome:

The final concept demonstrates a balanced product experience that feels approachable, informative, and premium. It showcases strong information hierarchy, restrained interaction design, and a user-centred approach to smart-home control.
